One of Our Most Special Rescues in Urgent Need of Rehoming

divider

valentintaValentina is an incredible dog that has endured more than most of us can ever imagine. She was found five years ago in an abandoned lot in Juarez, Mexico with a horrific injury that involved an open fracture of her front right leg and infected, broken and wounded toes on the front left foot. {Click here for images of when Valentia was rescued, be forewarned they are graphic}.

Despite agonizing pain and infection, Valentina managed to survive and was struggling each day just to find food and shelter. Fortunately she was rescued. Sadly, we did have to remove one of her front legs and she is also missing the toes off of the foot from the other forelimb.

You can read the full story of her initial rescue here.

That was five years ago and Valentina has adapted beautifully. She moves around with some difficulty, but does ambulate very well and leads a happy, normal life. She has been in a home for the past five years but was given up by her adopter last month and we are now looking to rehome her.

Valentina would thrive in a home with another dog and prefers no cats or other small animals. She has a stroller that she adores and hops right into for longer walks and strolls. She is hoping that this time around she can find her forever home and is eager to settle back in with someone who can offer her all the love, warmth, and security she deserves.
