One Day = 75 Lives Saved!

What do real estate and dog rescue have in common? They both boil down to one critical factor…location, location, location!

Truly, location can either be a death sentence or a saving grace for a homeless animal.

Getting those animals from point A, where they are facing euthanasia, homelessness, and despair, to point B, where they are safe, highly adoptable, and will live their lives out in a loving home, is what saves these lives.

Case in point? June 28th.

We saved an astonishing 75 dogs that day via two separate large scale rescue efforts that got them from point A to point B.

How did we save 75 lives?

Check it out:

Interstate Rescue: 41 lives

41 Chihuahuas were rescued from the Central Valley of California {point A}, where the breed is severely overrepresented and at high risk for euthanasia. We transported these 41 sweet souls to our partner shelter in Minneapolis, the Animal Humane Society {point B}, where small dogs are in high demand and these little guys get snatched up in days!

International Rescue: 34 lives

34 dogs were transported from Mexico {point A}, where they all came from backgrounds of homelessness, neglect and hardship. These lucky Meximutts were brought to northern California {point B} where local shelters and rescue groups have a lack of highly adoptable dogs like these and where these sweet pooches will be adopted out in no time.

75 lives!!!! Now that’s a day well spent.
