Spaying our way across Mexico – the summer 2008 Mexico Spay Odyssey
A SPAY CAMP DOUBLE HEADER!!!

Compassion without Borders strongly believes that the only way to truly reduce companion animal suffering in Mexico is through steady, focused spay/neuter efforts – which are unheard of throughout most of the country. To this end, over the past 6 years we have implemented spay camps throughout different regions of Mexico, wherein we host free, high volume spay/neuter clinics staffed by both US and local volunteers.

Pearl – A Mexican Pug like No Other

When working in Mexico, no matter what the project, I expect to pick up a few rescues along the way. Wherever you travel south of the border, injured, mistreated, homeless animals seem to be ever present and I, myself, seem to serve as a magnet for these types of critters.

CWOB will be heading down to Chihuahua, Mexico for a humane animal handling course at the end of this month. We desperately need funds to purchase the appropriate training items {leashes, muzzles, safety nets, etc} to donate to the animal control centers we are working with so that they can implement humane animal handling after our training.
