‘HOPE IS REVOLUTIONARY’
Dear *|MERGE1|*
I once heard it said that hope, in and of itself, is a revolutionary concept. At times, when working with the animals of Mexico, that phrase seems to light up in bright neon in my mind, illuminating the path as we plow forward with our programs despite the enormity of the problems we are trying to combat and the harshness of the conditions we often find ourselves working amongst.
It is revolutionary to look into the eyes of a Mexican street dog and hope for a better life not only for that dog, but for the thousands more you do not see before you.
It is revolutionary to witness a barbaric act like electrocution and hope that someday soon such an atrocity will not exist.
It is revolutionary to even hope for change when the current state of things can be so heartwrenching.
Hope is revolutionary.
Hope is necessary.
Thank you for sharing in the hope and belief that a better world for these animals is indeed not only possible, but actually unfolding before our eyes as a result of our efforts.
Please enjoy the enclosed stories and updates. We hope you'll consider making a small contribution toward our programs as we start the new year-- so that we can keep our vision of hope alive!
Happy New Year to all.
