Dear Friend
We hope this update finds you all well. Those of us at CWOB are filled with good news this month and anxious to share all our recent project updates with you. The last few weeks have been very busy, with our statewide humane euthanasia training in Chihuahua, governmental meetings, & international dog rescue. We have also been busy developing a few new programs including a highly innovated humane education campaign and a community dog project which we hope to launch soon.
You will also find news about the four dogs that were rescued from the humane euthanasia training on February 17th. Being able to save at least a few lives provided those of us at Compassion without Borders with the strength and resilience needed to endure the training, which is always very difficult. We are grateful to be able to share the joy of these four dogs with you and know you will rejoice in their rescue as much as we do.
Because every single life counts,

Meximutt Jet Setters

10 lucky Mexican street dogs found themselves heading to Northern California in style on a private plane a few weeks ago…find out more about the four legged jet setters.
The Lucky Four:

CWOB saved four dogs from certain death in Chihuahua. These four sweeties were literally pulled from the euthanasia list during our last humane euthanasia training in Chihuahua. Meet the lucky four and learn more about each one.
Community Dog Program
Community dogs are street dogs that are watched over by members of a neighborhood in areas throughout Mexico, but not owned by any one family. CWOB and local Mexican animal protection group APRODEA are working hard to stop the rounding up and killing of these dogs by proving to the government that trap, neuter, and release of these animals is the true solution. Find out more about the program here.
March's Meximutt of the Month Manolito was one of the very first dogs we rescued from Mexico. He had been
tied up on the side of a busy freeway in Mexico City...full story.

“Know what?” “Sabias Que?”
“Know What?”, or “Sabias Que?” in Spanish, is the name of our new humane education campaign in Juarez, Mexico. We are working with our local Juarez partners, Asociacion ProDefensa Animal (Animal Protection Association), to blanket the city in informational billboards and posters with this catchy slogan.
