Our lifesaving efforts are off to a bang! We headed down to Fresno on January 4th and selected an astonishing 41 dogs for rescue. Scroll down for a photo gallery of the animals saved.

25 were selected for our interstate Chihuahua transport and additional 16 were loaded up in our van and brought to northern California for placement through the Sonoma Humane Society and CWOB.

We fall in love with every dog we rescue and this trip was no different. Sweet Cappy, a spry little senior dog who had abandoned after his owner went into a convalescent home, caught our eye right away when we saw him jumping up and clamoring for attention at the Animal Compassion Team shelter in Fresno.

We snatched Cappy up and brought him to an elderly couple here in Santa Rosa who had been looking for a companion. It was love at first sight and now Cappy is now living the life of his dreams and making the couple very, very happy. What a perfect match!

The Chihuahuas headed to Minneapolis for adoption on January 10th and several have already been adopted.

Many thanks to all the individuals and organizations that make this lifesaving work possible. It is truly a team effort and it takes a village to save these dogs – but it is so very worth it!

Thanks to; Animal Compassion Team {ACT} Fresno,  Animal Rescue Foundation {ARF} Fresno, Sonoma Humane Society, Minneapolis Animal Humane Society and Dr. Cindy Karsten.
