Thirty-one dogs In Need of Rescue In Juarez, Mexico
Compassion without Borders is gearing up for our largest rescue to date! Thirty-one Meximutts are anxiously awaiting rescue south of the border, hoping to head north with us this Friday.
CWOB has been rescuing dogs in need from Mexico for 8 years. We reach out to animals who truly have no other hope and provide extensive medical care, emotional and physical rehabilitation, sterilization, vaccination, microchipping, heartworm testing, deworming, grooming, voluntary quarantine, foster care....any and everything they need to be successfully rehomed.
We receive no adoption fees for any of the animals and rely 100% on the donations of generous supporters to be able to save these precious lives. We are a 100% volunteer organization here in the U.S. and are able to channel all of our funds effectively to the animals.
We currently have only received enough donations to cover the cost of 13 of these dogs – leaving 18 without sponsorship.
It costs just $100 to save a life.

DOGS THAT HAVE NOT YET BEEN SPONSORED
Tito
Tito was rescued at one of our spay/neuter clinics in Puerto Peñasco. He was just a few weeks old and was ill, dumped by the family who had him with the hopes that animal control would pick him up and euthanize him.
We couldn’t let that happen, so immediately started medical treatment on him, took him back to a foster home in Juarez and have cared for him for the past few months.
He was very critical when first rescued, but has since made a full recovery and is now a lanky, silly youngster whose sweet demeanor reminds us all why we do what we do and how rewarding it can be to save a life.
Help us to find Tito the loving home he deserves – sponsor Tito today.
Hermosa
Poor Hermosa was so matted when she was first rescued from animal control that you could hardly tell there was a dog beneath all of her dirty, filthy hair. However, she cleaned up beautifully and has blossomed into a darling, little 8-pound beauty that is destined to be pampered and loved once she makes it to California.

Churro
Churro is a happy-go-lucky 2 year-old poodle cross that found himself on deathrow at an animal control center in Mexico after being rounded up off the streets. He was pretty darn scrappy when first rescued, but has cleaned up beautifully and is anxious to enjoy the good life here in Northern California.

Chamu
Chamu was rescued with severe burns all along his back. This poor dog will permanently bear the physical scars of a previous life that is best left unimagined, but has made a complete recovery emotionally and is now ready for adoption.
Handsome beyond comprehension, this sweet boy breaks your heart when you think about all that he’s been through, but then fills it back up again with love and hope with just a glance of his soulful chocolate eyes.

Capuchino
This chocolate colored dollpie was found roaming the streets, hungry, frightened, and hoping for little more than to just get through the day. Since being in foster care he has gained confidence and trust and is eager to put the harsh street life of his past far behind him.
Peke
Poor sweet Peke was found in dire condition. The matts on her body were so severe that they had resulted in infected wounds. Peke was very thin {she weighed just four pounds}, weak, and very scared. Peke has doubled his weight since being rescued, now has a very lovely, healthy coat and a new lease on life. She is still a touch apprehensive, but only at first glance. She warms up quickly and will hopefully never have to endure another day of suffering again.

Coco
The only thing cuter than Coco’s spotted neck is his speckled tummy...or maybe his deep brown eyes...or maybe his wirey muzzle? Coco was rescued from being killed at the animal control center in Mexico and was found in very poor conditions. He was covered in mange {a skin condition that causes hair loss and itchiness} and had clearly not had a decent meal or ounce of care in months – if ever. Coco’s coat has grown back in nicely and he is now a very handsome, fully recovered, mild mannered Mexican street dog with a very bright future indeed.

Sally
Sweet Sally is nearly too good to be true. Sweet, lovely, good natured and beyond adorable, this little Dachshund was dumped at animal control by folks who had hoped to use her as a breeder dog, but found that she wasn’t a high “producer”. Sally was ill when rescued and it was discovered that she was Heartworm positive.
Sally was given the treatment she needed, has made a full recovery, and is now ready to find a home where she will be loved, adored, and cherished for the beautiful soul that she is.

Tick
Okay, the name is not very cute, but the dog is! Poor little tick was given this nickname because when this 5-month-old pup was rescued he was literally covered in hundreds of ticks. Tick was given the treatment he needed and has recuperated well, but the nickname stuck and now this darling little fuzzy faced boy will hopefully be heading north to find a new home, a new name, and a new lease on life!

Sonia
Sweet Sonia was found wandering the park and hoping to find a friendly face. This 2 year old Meximutt found that friendly person in a local volunteer who rescued her and is now hoping to find a forever home where she will be safe and loved.

Loca
Sweet little Loca was rescued from animal control where she had abandoned. Loca would have been euthanized if not for the rescue, but that doesn’t get her down for one minute....Loca is the kind of dog who has lived a fairly rough life, but is as chipper, optimistic, and happy-go-lucky as they come.
Loca will make some family in California very happy with her infectious optimism and cheerful disposition.
