CWOB Brings Lasting Solutions to Delicias, Mexico

On November 5th and 6th Compassion without Borders hosted a two-day spay camp in Delicias, Mexico along with a very dedicated local animal advocacy group called Movemiento K-nino. 117 dogs and cats were sterilized free of charge in the two-day event!

The effort was led by Compassion without Border’s head surgeon in Mexico, Dr.Juan Jose Martinez. Prior to the clinic, Dr.Martinez lectured to the local advocacy groups in a discussion forum which featured topics ranging from high volume spay/neuter to humane euthanasia to effective animal activism.

The clinic served as a training for one local veterinarian that works with the group. An additional veterinarian and two veterinary technicians underwent a more intensive training this past weekend, December 3rd and 4th, with Dr.Martinez, who returned to Delicias specifically for this purpose.

Dr.Martinez deserves special recognition for his tireless efforts, professionalism, and commitment to sharing his expertise and passion for animal welfare with his colleagues.

The goal of theseclinics is to establish a locally based, permanent spay/neuter program for the animals of Delicias that will be sustained and operated by Movimiento K-nino.delicias spay clinic
