This week we rescued 8 dogs from the landfill just south of the border in Sonoyta, Sonora. Two pregnant mothers about ready to give birth, several injured and emaciated dogs, and one critical girl, Adelita, who we found barely able to move, covered in flies with a puppy stuck in her birth canal. We got all dogs to safety, performed emergency surgery on Adelita, and tonight all 8 dogs are on the mend and in our care. Thankful that we were able to stop the suffering for at least these 'Thanksgiving 8' and more committed than ever to helping as many more as we can. Thanks to all of you who make this work possible.
