Muttopia is a beautiful rescue facility, located on 3.5 acres in Santa Rosa, CA that provides a safe space for homeless dogs to recover both medically and emotionally prior to adoption.
Dogs are rescued from impoverished communities in the US and Mexico and given the time, veterinary care, and love they need to thrive before going up for adoption either through our facility or via one of our rescue partners.
Muttopia was made possible via our partner organization the Center for Animal Protecion and Education {CAPE}. CAPE gifted the funds to CWOB to purchase Muttopia after receiving a generous bequest from Lisa Landey, lifelong dog advocate for dogs. Find out more about our partnership here.

How the Shelter Works
Animals come to Muttopia from a variety of difficult situations. They are rescued from impoverished regions of Mexico and overcrowded shelters in the Central Valley and other areas of California.
Dogs come to Muttopia to receive the medical care and TLC they need to thrive before being put up for adoption directly through our organization or via one of our rescue partners.
