POSITION TYPE: Part-time non-exempt POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Development
POSITION SALARY: $22 to $24 per hour. POSITION SCHEDULE: 20 hours per week, flexible hours; Note: from Nov. 15-Jan 15, hours can increase up to 30 hours per week, given the big year-end fundraising push.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Development Assistant will work closely with the CWOB Director of Development and two Executive Directors to ensure accurate donor database upkeep and prompt and timely thank you letters to all donors. Customer service focus, along with experience and good judgment will be essential in planning and accomplishing goals as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize to meet key responsibilities on sometimes tight timelines. Attention to detail, meticulous record keeping, commitment to the mission of the organization, excellent communication skills and ability to multitask are critical.
Essential Functions:
● Precise and timely thank donors and oversight of donor communication. Consistent and creative outreach to donors will be developed and valued.
● Meticulously maintain Salesforce donor database
● Help Director of Development and other members of Team prioritize donor communications
● Answer and triage phone line and email inbox.
● Assistance with special mailings and donor-related activities
● Maintain office supply inventory as it relates to thank you letters, packets, and mailings
● Assist in special projects, filing, photocopying, editing and distributing documents and generally providing assistance as necessary.
● Assist with donor stewardship and engagement
Position Requirements:
● Experience in administrative positions with a minimum of 3 years experience.
● Proactive, with excellent interpersonal skills and inclination to focus on customer service for donors
● Detail-oriented, and proficient in MS Office applications. Word mail-merge experience preferred
● Experience with Salesforce database highly valued
● Display professionalism in all internal and external endeavors.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
