From Crisis to Care: Helping Animals Affected by the LAFires

On January 20th, we traveled to Los Angeles to assist the amazing folks at the shelters down there with the heartbreaking fallout from the devastating fires. We visited several County facilities and returned north with a vanload of incredible dogs, each carrying a story of resilience and hope.

Brownie:

There’s Brownie, a sweet soul with a large neck wound that required surgery and ongoing care. Despite her challenges, her tail wags endlessly, and her spirit is nothing short of inspiring.

Hank:

Then there’s Hank, a strikingly handsome pit bull. In an area where dogs like him often face uncertain futures,

Nova:

And lovely Nova, who struggled with fear in the large shelter environment. Beneath her nervous exterior, we saw her true self—a gentle, kind soul we’re grateful to have in our care.

Each animal we rescued not only gained a new lease on life but also made space for incoming animals displaced by the fires. We are in awe of the shelter teams in Southern California, who are working tirelessly on the front lines of this crisis, and we’re honored to support their efforts.
