Milagros: Miracles Do Happen

Milagros, which means miracle in Spanish, was rescued from Animal Control in Mexico. She, like so many dogs at local shelters that routinely euthanize animals, ended up on the euthanasia list. In fact, sweet Milagros was actually given what was supposed to be a fatal dose of a euthanasia drug. Her seemingly lifeless body was then set aside along with those of other animals that had been euthanized. However, later that day, when a staff member went to dispose of Milagros' body, she stood up! She had survived!

The staff member was so moved by her will to live, they took her and contacted us, asking if we could rescue her. Of course, we could! Milagros is now healthy, thriving and waiting to find a loving home in northern California.

To see Milagros today, so full of life, happy, and thriving, is truly a miracle. We are so grateful to give this beautiful soul a chance at the life she deserves and has fought so hard to have. Compassion is the Answer.
